Four Recessed Lights with Dimmer Installation
All right, we’re adding some recessed lights to this house. We’re gonna eliminate that switched outlet that used to do the TV, probably a pain in the a**.
Turn that into a dimmer switch, get up four lights in the ceiling.
I always rock the laser when I do this, that way everything’s symmetrical, lined up in straight.
Secondly, always with the Bosch vacuum, I like how long the hose is. I leave the vacuum on the car, drill these out. I also use that hole saw, that way anything I encounter, horse hair, anything, eats right through, and the Rack-A-Tiers’ dust bowl is a must. (Driller’s Dust Bowl Pro With Vacuum Adapter).
Then I tried the Rack-A-Tiers’ ferret (Ferret Cable and Fishing Tool) on this job. The thing is incredible. It’s got a roller that just rolls right underneath the strap.
And for us guys up north, I also use a Rack-A-Tiers’ (Bumper Balls) ball to keep that bit off. I went up with the bit, it’s way over there. (Check out the Wood Cutting Auger Flex Bits that can be used with Bumper Balls).
I was able to get the string around that thing and pull some string down because I couldn’t really access it. And it just caught the bit. I twirled it around enough to pull that thing down and I got pretty lucky with that.
There’s the string, barely caught it. Luckily, twisting the drill wrapped it up real nice. We’re gonna go ahead and snake over to the hole right above that.
See, I didn’t get a finished product to this room, but the thing worked out great. I got lucky with the snake here as well. One extra hole, this thing’s a wrap, we’re moving on.
