The Best Electrician’s Tool Belt-Electrician’s Combo Belt By Rack-A-Tiers
One of my biggest frustrations of being an electrician is the number of tools I need to carry around when I am out on a work site. No matter what I do, I always seem to leave a critical tool in the truck or, even worse, back at the shop.
Part of the problem is that I don’t like to carry a large heavy toolbox with me, so there’s never enough room for everything, especially for larger items like hammers and wrenches, in my small box.
That was until I started using Rack-A-Tiers Electrician Combo Belt. This combination belt and tool bag lets me carry all the tools I need and includes holsters for my bulky hammer and long tools. Previously, I had steered clear of combination tool belts because people wearing them seemed to be weighed down by so many unnecessary tools that it seemed to me they were training for a route march in the Marines.
Electrician Combo Belt Keeps You Comfortable
I was surprised by how light and comfortable the belt was when I tried it on. What grabbed my attention initially is that Rack-A-Tiers has a wide range of sizes to suit almost any build. In fact, there are six sizes ranging from 26 inches right through to a burly 54 inches, and the adjustable belt allows you to get nice and comfortable. What’s more, the belt has a broad, contoured back fitted with cushioned and ventilated air channels that keep me cool when the weather is hot and sticky.
Tough and Robust
I am impressed with the robust construction of the belt, and it looks like it will take a lot of punishment. This is a belt that’s designed for the long haul. When you look at how it’s put together, you’ll see there’s plenty of bar tack stitching together with heavy metal rivets to give extra support. The belt is made from tough double-layered 1250 denier DuraTek fabric and is strengthened by internal nylon webbing.
There are several large pockets with plenty of space to store small items securely so they won’t be dropped. Tough nylon webbing reinforcement is stitched around the top of the pockets to keep them open and easily accessible. Fastened to the sides of these pockets are several open bottom pouches, also featuring nylon webbing reinforcement, which are ideal for longer tools. There’s a convenient tape holder. The pockets are made from the same double-layered 1250 denier DuraTek fabric as the belt.
Adjustable Fit
I don’t like to drag a lot of weight around with me all day, but I find I can load all the essential tools I need into the tool belt without making it too heavy. What I also appreciate are the optional suspenders that clip securely onto the belt and allow some of the load to be taken by my shoulders. These suspenders are fitted with broad shoulder pads and are easily adjustable to the right length. They have a leather crossover divider to spread the load and keep me comfortable.
I like the way the suspenders clip onto the belt with heavy-duty spring hooks, which are easily released. The belt is fitted with a pair of convenient carrying handles so it’s easy to carry and store in my truck.
My overall experience with the Rack-a-Tiers Electrician Bag and Belt combo has been good, because I find it comfortable to wear, not too heavy, and the tools I need are immediately accessible
