<p>The Rack-A-Tiers AC Splitter features a receptacle and GFCI tester as well as the ability to measure the current through the measuring rings. Verify your receptacle wiring, measure voltage and use your clamp meter (not included) to measure current up to 15A.</p>
<p>The AC Splitter is equipped with lights that show 5 different wiring faults: <span class="a-list-item">Open Ground, Open Neutral, Hot/Ground Reverse, Open Hot, Hot/Neutral Reverse.</span></p>

<p>  I live in an area that electric power goes out during thunderstorms.  I bought and use a portable generator to keep the essential house items running but always had concerns of overloading the generator.  I bought this product and have used it several times with no difficulty and I am now can be assured that the generator is well within its capability for keeping me comfortable in my home.</p>

<div><strong>Great way to see what amperage a &#8220;plug in appliance&#8221; draws</strong></div>

<p>  Its very had to see what the amperage draw of a saw or other item is.  Just inset this unit between the outlet and cord and clamp on a &#8220;clamp-on&#8221; multimeter ( not included) to see the amp draw.  This unit is great because it has two loops for low and high amperage measuring.</p>

<p>  Well, it’s super tough to get a heirloom quality tool these days, so don’t expect that.  But this essential tool works well enough. 4 stars for accuracy. Both the 1X and 10X slots should read the same (decimal point should just be moved over 1 place), but they are 3/10ths of an amp off from each other at 12 amps.  That’s not too bad, but it’s not what it should be.</p>

<p>  This thing works great for me.  I can easily get my clamp meter around both the 1X and 10X areas no problem.  As an added bonus it will measure 220V lines and says it can go to 300V.  It&#8217;s the only one I&#8217;ve been able to find that does 220.</p>
