<p>  First time I&#8217;ve reviewed a product I haven&#8217;t bought on Amazon. I&#8217;ve owned this screwdriver for 1.5 years and use it daily on the job. It&#8217;s very well built, buttery smooth &#8220;ratcheting&#8221; mechanism, which I love! Especially in tight areas where there&#8217;s not a lot of hand space to turn a regular ratcheting screwdriver, even a mm of movement it will lock in place!What prompted me to write this was a previous reviewer who claimed the bits fall out. This was very untrue for me. The bits for very snugly inside the handle and I&#8217;ve never had the same issue. I&#8217;m looking at purchasing one through Amazon now because my screwdriver was stolen on the jobsite and I love it that much I&#8217;m willing to pay the extra to buy online. I originally bought mine at EECOL for $27.I highly recommend this screwdriver for any medium to light duty work. Obviously a screwdriver like this can&#8217;t be torqued on really hard, but as a technician, I couldn&#8217;t ask for a better multibit driver.</p>

<p>  Pros: Smooth, quiet ratcheting action. More bits than almost any other multi-bit driver on the market. Very comfortable handle. You can go to the Rolgear website and buy replacement bits at a very reasonable price.Bits are very high quality and will last a long time.Cons: the handle is not as strong as it should be &#8211; mine cracked when it fell off my workbench. I repaired it with crazy glue and it seems to be holding fine. The little magnets designed to hold the bits when sliding them out of the storage area are not strong enough. They need to be stronger or longer &#8211; more holding power is needed.All in all a great multi-bit ratcheting screw driver. Would buy again.</p>

<p>  I&#8217;ve got a bunch of Picquic drivers and love them (if they offered bits in a premium tool steel I&#8217;d pay extra, I am bad and use the bits in power tools too) but they don&#8217;t have a ratcheting driver. After reading accolades for the Rolgear and it being a Canadian product I bought one. Initially liked it a lot, enough to buy one for my dad. After a year using it for locksmith and electronic security work:+ Bit quality is excellent.+ Smooth ratcheting mechanism (occasionally slips but still good).+ Carries more bit options on board than Picquic.+ Initially good hand feel- Have to be attentive changing bits, with some wear they can slide out and drop, pushing the double  ended pointy bits into the end of the driver can give ouchies.- After some wear bits slide forward (but don&#8217;t fall out) and interfere with forward grip area.- Doesn&#8217;t always stay put on non level surfaces.</p>

<p>  Effortlessly drive in your screws. You can&#8217;t even feel the ratcheting system which is weird at first, but you get used to it.Works great, however after sitting in my garage for just a couple of months all of the bits started to rust and deteriorate. Not happy.</p>

<p>  I&#8217;ve owned my Rolgear ratcheting screwdriver for over 5 years now. I see a few people saing that the handle won&#8217;t hold the bits well enough and others saying that the magnets to hold pushed out bits are not strong enough.Well holding my screw driver in a vertical position I&#8217;ve never had a problem of the bits falling out of the handle nor off the magnet with out some serious shaking.Having been a tradesman for over 37 years I know good tools from bad.To all those having the above mentioned issues.You should return these for a replacement.These have a life time warranty.</p>

<p>  First off I am a professional mechanic. I own mostly knipex and Snap On tools.  I tried this out seeing it at Lordco. At first it was awesome.  But after a few weeks of daily usage the ratchet started slipping and then it just dies inside. So as much as I want to like this tool it sucks balls. Maybe good for handyman around the house but I’ve gone back to my picquic.</p>

Although the handle allows to store all but one of the bits, keeping the one remaining bit in the driver takes up a lot of space. I wish they had designed the handle so that all bits could be stored away when not in use.</p>

<p>  It not the heaviest duty driver out their but what it does it does well. The gear less ratcheting system is awesome it has almost no backlash resistance and that fact is amazing when you have tried it and worked with it. For fine or repetitive work it’s awesome. For busting out old rusty screws it’s not the screw driver.</p>

<p>  Love 99% about this screw driver. The bearings inside are very smooth! Super easy to use. The only thing (1%) that I can complain about is if the head of the screw driver fits very tight into a screw, the bit will pop out. I think the only way to fix is have some sort of detent on the bit and pull back collar to attach bits. Other then that I use it everyday plumbing!</p>

<p>  Have been using as my go to screwdriver every day for 3 months as an electrician.Can take a lot of punishment whether it be from daily use or dropping it off a.ladder by mistake. (But looks very dirty since the handle is white)Easy to change screwdriver bits, and the storage in the handle does not reduce comfort in hand. Only thing negative is that the handle does not allow you to store all 7 double sided bits at once.</p>

<p>  The wide selection of bits, firm grip, and long reach is excellent.The faults are many though:1. You need a 3rd hand to catch the bits when you push them out of the handle. I’ve dropped them a couple times. They have a little magnet on the side of the driver to try and address this, but it doesn’t work.2. The ratchet works splendidly when all of your force is forward, but if you push on it at angle (picture reaching into an awkward spot) the ratchet doesn’t work; it locks up.3. I’ve only used it for a couple of days and the markings on the ratchet are wearing off (should be etched not printed)4. The magnet is not strong enough to pick up screws longer than a 1/2”5. The mechanism that holds the bits in the driver doesn’t hold well &#8211; I leave the bit behind in the screw sometimes.Bottom line: I prefer the one I have from the dollar store over this $35 multi-bit</p>

<p>  Apres 1 ans le mecanisme reste bloquerLes douilles tombent toutes seules. dont buy this product.Au debut : le roulement est presque magique , on entend pas de déclic qui devient lourd apres un 8h, cependant les douilles tiennent avec une légère aimant a l intérieur du shaft, assez solide pour empêcher la douille de tomber advenant un mouvement brusque mais ca aurai pu etre plus solide avec une bille-spring j ai peur que l aimant perde en puissance apres les années.de l a mon 4/5 étoiles.Reévaluer a 2/5 etoiles,  j ai besoin d un nouveau tournevis</p>

<p>  Highly recommend. Bought 2 of these so far. When having to remove and install a lot of screws fast, the ratchet makes this very easy. It likely is more ergonomic without having to twist your hand so much. I hold the handle stationary while twisting the shaft with my other fingers to quickly turn the screw. Once snug, give the final turn with the handle to tighten.</p>

<p>  I really liked it until the handle broke&#8230; The ratchet mechanism is really nice and I liked it so much that I even bought another one to give as a gift. I had it for about 8 months and used it mostly for electronics work (no prying, striking, sitting in oils or solvents.) It was on my workbench, rolled off and the handle broke clean in two. I get that dropping 3&#8242; onto a concrete floor isn&#8217;t the nicest treatment, but I definitely expected it to be more durable&#8230; I guess the plastic is just too brittle for the job, since it seems like at least one other reviewer experienced exactly the same kind of failure.</p>

I found other space, but it won&#8217;t fit in a 20&#8243; Beach bench top toolbox shallow drawer. Fits in my large tool cab just fine in a 1.5&#8243; drawer.</p>

<p>  I just received this screwdriver and the main reason I ordered it was because I needed the special T25 bit to unscrew my tailights on my car in order to get access to the bulbs. Man, is this thing ever smooth! I was used to my father&#8217;s original ratchet that would make clicking noises, but this one is a lot better as it doesn&#8217;t require too much pressure. I like how the bits are stored in the handle, just wished that they would stay there if the screwdriver tips over on its side. Not that huge of a deal though! And also, I wished that all the bits would fit when not in use instead of keeping one in the tip, but overall, these are minor flaws to a great product!</p>

<p>  Love this product! The ratchet handle is a wonderful idea and makes any job easier. However I’m disappointed the the bits do not stay in the storage handle .. they slip out all over the place . I solved it by putting an elastic band around the base and thus has lessened but not solved the problem</p>

<p>  Toller Schraubendreher, gute Verarbeitung und gutes Handling. Ein Stern Abzug weil die Ratschenfunktion manchmal hackt und sich fest stellt wenn man zu schnell dreht und weil man sich leicht verletzen kann wenn man die Bits nicht richtig im Griff verstaut (Bits stehen hinten über den Griff raus). Alles Übungssache und Gewöhnung. Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen.</p>

<p>  Bought mine about two years ago. I use it almost daily, and it continues to be my favourite piece of kit. Works as advertised and very comfortable. If it EVER breaks I&#8217;ll get another one in a second; after owning one I don&#8217;t think I could live without one.UPDATE: Nov 2021: I still use it daily, and it&#8217;s still a joy to use and hasn&#8217;t failed me once. STILL my go-to in my kit.</p>

<p>  Pros:- Silent ratcheting as described, works well- Easy to grip handle- The bits appear to be of good quality as wellCons:- Bits are stored in the handle, but are not secured in place. As soon as the screwdriver is pointed downwards, the bit slide out of their slots, and you have to worry about them instead of the task at hand- The little metal bit you see in the first photo is magnetic, and is meant to catch the bits as they slide, but it doesn&#8217;t always work. You can see in the second photo that bits have slid out to varying degrees, where they get in the way and also distract from whatever you&#8217;re working on. One bit has actually dropped to the floor- I assumed (my bad) that all bits could be stored away, but it turns out that one bit needs to remain in the socket, which means it can&#8217;t be stored in compact places (like a motorbike&#8217;s toolkit for instance- There are a number of square and star bits, but no allen keys. Personally I would have preferred more allen bits as I am much more likely to deal with those than square (never even seen one of those!!) or star</p>
