Open Splice Demonstration

So, this is so common to find in houses, I don’t know why, but people do this all the time and it’s dangerous.

They just wire nut the wires together, don’t even put it in a box.  And it’s a pain because you have to undo everything, feed it in the box, remake your connections, put a blank cover on it.

But now, Rack-A-Tiers is selling this Open Splice Junction Box. Makes it so much easier. You don’t have to undo anything.

It has tabs right here where the wires can just slip in from the top. Let me put this in here and show you how quick and easy it is.

All right, so I went ahead and just screwed it down. Got my wires bent so they’ll fit in there.

Fold the cover over, it snaps in place.

And then there’s these two screws to secure it.

And you’re done. It’s that easy. Now I can get out of this hot attic much faster.
